Bhavya Barot

Kia Ora. Hello. Namaste.

I am deeply passionate about supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges.

As an overseas-trained doctor and first-generation migrant, I trained to become a psychologist at Auckland University of Technology. Over the years, I have had the honour of supporting vulnerable individuals in various roles, including as a support worker, helpline counsellor, and psychologist.

My aim is to create a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where clients feel heard and empowered to pursue meaningful change. My therapeutic approach mainly draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate mindfulness-based strategies when appropriate to support growth and well-being.

I look forward to assisting you on your journey towards greater well-being.
