Gordana Jeremic

Gordana brings into her practice her 40 years of therapeutic experience as a Clinical Psychologist, working both in public Mental Health and private practice.Gordana has extensive experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds who struggle with a wide range of issues. She works predominantly with adults 18 and over. She has a very warm, interactive and supportive therapeutic style with an empathic and reassuring approach. Her vast experience in dealing with a wide range of human conditions of distress and training in multiple therapeutic modalities, enables her to use a highly individualised therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, including support and working with families and their significant others as required.

Expertise

Helping young people and adults (18 +) affected by personal or interpersonal issues, crisis situations, emotional or sexual abuse, addictions, difficulties adapting to change, becoming anxious or experiencing mood swings. She works with individuals who may be experiencing voices,  having experiences that the world around them is hostile and changing, or living in fear and not being understood. She also has expertise in working with adults who are challenged with difficulties related to the Autism Spectrum Disorders.

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PGDipClPs) 1981 (Belgrade University – Faculty of Philosophy – Department of Psychology)
  • Bachelor of Arts ( Psychology) 1977 (Deree-Pierce College - Athens/Greece)
Affiliations
  • Registered Clinical Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003
  • ACC registered for sensitive claims
