Marcé Pienaar

Marcé is an empathetic, passionate and dedicated registered Health Psychologist with vast experience treating clients with co-existing mental health and chronic-illnesses in Hospital and Outpatient-settings within Health New Zealand. Marcé utilises evidence-based models, including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, Trauma-informed Treatment, Pain-Reprocessing Therapy, and Neuro-Affirming Therapy.

Marcé sees everyone as a unique individual. With a collaborative and responsive stance, she tailors therapy to client’s goals, their socio-cultural background, neurodevelopment, and progress. Marcé’s Health Psychology lens and past research equip her with additional frameworks for cultural sensitivity, behavioural analysis, and modification to promote psychological and behavioural change. She has supported many clients through stress, life-transitions, unhelpful patterns, anxiety, panic, phobia, trauma, PTSD, insomnia, depression, body-image dissatisfaction, adjustment to health diagnosis and intensive medical treatment, pain, and health-management. Marcé uses evidence-based practice to guide meaningful change, self-discovery, healing, and resilience.
