Dr Claire Pearce

Claire’s practice provides psychological consultations for adults and her areas of special interest are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She offers a structured and active approach that is goal orientated.

- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy involves working together to formulate key thoughts, feelings and behaviours within the context of your life experiences. It provides an opportunity to learn new skills to respond to the challenges you are facing.

- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is about developing psychological flexibility. The model consists of six core psychological flexibility processes. Like a cube with six sides, the psychological flexibility processes support one another. Together we make sense of what it is you need to become more psychologically flexible and apply that to your life. It involves targeting core psychological flexibility processes to help you move toward meaningful change.
